Austin Akers is the Chief Executive Officer of Bison Oil & Gas Partners, LLC and Bison Oil & Gas Partners II ("Bison"). Prior to co-founding Bison, Austin co-founded and served as the Vice President of Land at LOGOS Resources, LLC ("LOGOS") where he was instrumental in the building and the development of a substantial land position in the Gallup Sandstone core of the San Juan Basin as well as the successful divestiture of those assets.
Mr. Akers began his career as a field landman throughout the Rockies. During his career Austin has built and/or sold numerous companies in the oil and gas space including Buffalo Royalties, LLC, Warner-Caldwell Investments, LLC, and Cayuga Holdings, LLC and also managed numerous producing fields as head landman of LINN Energy's Delaware Basin position from 2010-2012.
Austin graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations with a focus on finance and economics.
David Gonzales is the President and COO of Bison. Prior to co-founding Bison, David co-founded and served as the Vice President of Operations at LOGOS where he was responsible for horizontal development and managing operations including completions, facilities, and production.
Prior to LOGOS, Mr. Gonzales worked as a Senior Asset Engineer for the Permian Basin at LINN Energy. David also served in various other engineering capacities as a Lead Engineer at Resolute Energy in the Greater Aneth Field, and as a Production Engineer at Burlington Resources in the San Juan Basin.
David graduated with a degree in Petroleum Engineering with high honors from The New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, where he currently serves on the Board of Regents.
Jesse Irvin is the CFO of Bison. Prior to joining Bison, Jesse served as Senior FP&A Analyst for Jonah Energy, LLC, and was vital in helping Jonah establish its financial reporting practices and its development model. Prior to Jonah, Jesse was an oil and gas analyst with Petrie Partners in Denver, CO and Houston, TX. Jesse received a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Denver on top of a Bachelors in Finances from Virginia Tech.
Ian Hogan is the VP of Geoscience for Bison. Prior to Bison, Ian worked in both exploration and development roles at Fidelity Exploration and Production Company where he was active in the evaluation of development and exploratory prospects as well as the planning, permitting, and steering of directional wells. Ian graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara where he earned his Bachelors of Science and Colorado State University where he earned his Masters of Science.
Robert Pierini is the VP of Land for Bison. Prior to Bison, Robert worked as a Landman for Fidelity Exploration & Production Company where he managed various assets in multiple states. Robert holds a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Colorado and is a Registered Professional Landman (RPL) through the American Association of Professional Landmen.

Todd Wolff is the Drilling Manager for Bison. Prior to Bison, Todd worked for Noble Energy, Inc. in a variety of capacities including Drilling Superintendent, Drilling Supervisor, and most recently as Senior Drilling Engineer in the DJ basin where he managed the drilling of over 200 horizontal Niobrara and Codell wells. Prior to Noble Energy, Todd worked at Schlumberger where he was the Rockies Basin Drilling engineering manager.

Abigail Wenk is the Regulatory Manager for Bison. Prior to joining Bison, Abigail worked at Berry Petroleum and subsequently LINN Energy where she worked with landmen and asset teams on regulatory and land related projects in addition to managing day-to-day operations. Abigail graduated with honors from Texas A&M University.
