CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Prior to co-founding Bison in 2015, Austin co-founded and served as Vice President of Land at LOGOS Resources, LLC.. Mr. Akers began his career as a field landman throughout the Rockies. During his career Austin has founded numerous companies in the oil and gas space including Buffalo Royalties, LLC and Warner-Caldwell Investments, LLC. In addition, Mr. Akers currently sits on the board of Taproot Rockies Midstream, LLC and Children’s Hospital Foundation Colorado. Austin graduated with a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Prior to joining Bison, Jesse served as Senior FP&A Analyst for Jonah Energy, LLC

Prior to Jonah, Jesse was an oil and gas analyst with Petrie Partners in Denver, CO and Houston, TX.

Jesse received a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Denver on top of a Bachelors in Finances from Virginia Tech.

EVP of EXPLORATION & GEOSCIENCE

Prior to Bison, Ian worked in both exploration and development roles at Fidelity Exploration and Production Company where he was active in the evaluation of development and exploratory prospects as well as the planning, permitting, and steering of directional wells. Ian graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara where he earned his Bachelors of Science and Colorado State University where he earned his Masters of Science.

EVP of LAND & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Prior to Bison, Robert worked as a Landman for Fidelity Exploration & Production Company where he managed various assets in multiple states. Robert holds a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Colorado and is a Registered Professional Landman (RPL) through the American Association of Professional Landmen.

EVP of RESERVOIR

Don has more than 25 years of experience working in all facets of Reservoir Engineering, including field development, business development, EOR, and SEC Reserve Reporting. He held technical and management positions for Marathon Oil Company, EOG Resources, and Whiting Petroleum Corp. The last 16 years of his career have focused on finding and developing horizontal, unconventional fields in the Rockies. Don graduated from Montana Tech with a BS in Petroleum Engineering.

VP of OPERATIONS

Prior to Bison, Todd worked for Noble Energy, Inc. in a variety of capacities including Drilling Superintendent, Drilling Supervisor, and most recently as Senior Drilling Engineer in the DJ basin where he managed the drilling of over 200 horizontal Niobrara and Codell wells. Prior to Noble Energy, Todd worked at Schlumberger where he was the Rockies Basin Drilling engineering manager.
